We had thought about going to the coast, but the gulf coast is a mess of people during spring break. That was also before all of this… Unpleasantness…
The plan was altered to a nice river in striking distance from home. Garner state park is one of the top parks in Texas. We decided to stay at an RV place right across the river from it.
I will post more pictures, but we are taking it easy on the first evening.

Is that a rope swing? Is the water as shallow as it looks in the photos?
It is deeper right there. There is a lot of shallow around there, though
It looks like the water is only 2” deep but it comes up above my waist. And it’s friggin cold!
