For the next day in NC, we drove up a snergelly hill to see the falls found on the Cullasaja River (Cherokee word for Sugar Water) which is located in Nantahala National Forest. The first place where you can pull over to see some of the falls is Cullasaja.
While we were stopped here, I swear I found a fairy patch. Do you see them?

We passed by the second stop which is called “Bust Your Butt” falls. It looked like fun but I was itching to get to Dry Falls.

It was a beautiful site. The Forest Service built a nice little stopping area with parking spaces, out houses, picnic tables, and a paved path to the fall.
Now if you took note, I said the road was snergelly. It reminded me of the road in Arkansas called the Pig Trail. This road was a little worse. They only cut enough of the land for two cars to pass with zero ease (i.e. no shoulder). On our way down, we were right next to the cliff wall. When I say ‘with zero ease’, I really mean there is NO shoulder, nada, nothing, zilch. Our RV side mirror whacked the plants more than once. I know because I had my hand out the window. And for your information, snergelly is from Dr. Suess’ The Lorax.
Enjoy the pictures! As always, click on the photo for more info.

Beautiful. Maybe next trip.
That is absolutely gorgeous!
So I was joking with the Thursday ladies that you had posted lots of smiling pics of the kids, a couple of Mike, but only pictures of your feet, so there was no way to tell if you were still having fun!! Now we finally get a cute pic of you but it’s super dark!! When you get back, we’ll talk about some simple photo editing!!
Miss you, glad you’re having a great time. I LOVE “snergelly”!
