We made it!

The first landing point was a place in Taito City, Tokyo. It’s where the Ueno station is located.

First impressions.. It’s a very hot time of year. Not hot like Texas where you feel the water evaporating from you and you have to hide from the light of the day-star lest you become a dried out husk. It was a good 10-15F cooler than Texas right now. However it’s humid. It was always stuffy if the wind wasn’t giving you a break.

Everyone carries fans. Either the folding kind or some battery powered portable. We quickly got on-board and picked some up. That and an umbrella for a parasol and it’s far more bearable.

This little guy has been an MVP on the trip and it’s only been a couple days!
