Summer 2021 “get out of Dodge” trip started at Degray Lake State Park in Arkansas. We were surrounded by trees.. REAL TREES! We’ve missed the pines.

There was lake swimming, hiking, decent camp showers, pine trees. I even ran across a couple small quartz crystal clusters on the edge of the water.
If you want something from civilization like a grocery store, you are driving to Arkadelphia.

That road leads to an island with a resort on it, for those that prefer to not bring their house

While hanging out in this park in the great outdoors, I read a book about people living in a silo underground(Wool) who never go outside. I am sure that makes sense somehow.
