To recover from meeting so many relatives and seeing so many faces, we did what anyone would do. We went to the beach!
Turns out the water was really freakin’ cold. The water was full of seaweed and such, though… so it felt a lot like Galveston. Except no greasy sand or tar balls. You didn’t come out of the water with that petroleum sheen. My skin feels softer after a swim in the Gulf.
Seriously, that’s as far as they were willing to go.
Sand still got into places… terrible places.
It was here that I had my lobster dinner. They forgot to bring me my utensils, but I didn’t notice. I just started cracking that bad boy like a giant crawfish. It was good, but honestly I like crab and crawfish better. I did make it do a little dance, though. They always have to do a little dance before the eating.

Wish we had some of that coolness
