After DC we headed north to Hershy Town PA. Of course we stopped at PA’s Welcome Center. They had a fairy garden! Jill & I enjoyed looking at all the details as well as taking pictures.

On our way to Hershey Town, we stopped at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Will was like a little kid in a candy store. He couldn’t wait for me to correctly park the RV that he jumped out with his camera in hand ready to record a train that was getting ready to depart. The museum was impressive. The desk clerk was correct that this collection is bigger than Texas. I’m glad that we stopped. I even learned a couple of things about trains. I knew the US mail played an important role in helping expand the RR service across our country but didn’t realize that the trains delievered mail up until 1976. Here are some pics that I took.
We did not stay in Hershey Town but instead at a KOA in Elizabethtown. It’s a very nice KOA. All of the sites are spacious with most in a wooded area for lots of shade. This KOA also has a shuttle specifically for Hershey Town which we took advantage.
Hershey Park is HUGE! Not Disney HUGE but big. In fact, one ticket gets you into all three of their parks: Amusement, Water, and Zoo. We only went one day. First we rode a few rides, ate lunch, enjoyed cooling off in the wave pool, grabbed a ‘make your own’ whoopie pie, and went back to the RV to crash. It was fun. The kids had a blast. I was able to get Jill to ride one roller coaster. She says she didn’t like it but I think she did. I didn’t take very many photos…just a couple with my phone.
