We saw some cool sites around Franklin, NC. Dry Falls was certainly impressive.
It’s fine, though. You are safe. Perfectly safe. Just watch out for the giant with the runny nose.
Downtown Franklin has a free(SWEET!) Gem and Jail Museum. It’s a Gem Museum in a Jail Museum.
They have a alphabetical display of gems by state. There are fossils and some cool examples of the quality of stones that can be made from things like glass bottles. The folks on hand were super friendly and told us all about the jail and the different stones.

Upstairs were the cells, with historical graffiti. The visitor bathrooms were even fitted into two adjacent cells. Men in the cell on the left, women on the right.
I don’t wanna talk about my time in slammer.

Those beautiful children locked in the slammer.
