So we’ve decided that our ‘safe zone’ needs to feel a little more homey and what better way to accomplish it by redoing the walls?
First up, taking down the old wall paper. Some of it was peeling away so it gave us the illusion that it would be easy. Two days later, most of the wall paper plus one wall came off. We ended up using a heat gun to melt the plastic wallpaper so it would peel. However, when doing this on an interior wall, the wood panel popped off, hence, the one wall came off.

Did you notice the what was on the wall? We knew we had leaks but didn’t realize the extent of the damage. How could we when there was wallpaper covering it?

Once we treated the mold, we could begin the putting up the wallpaper.
It doesn’t look like much but we are getting there.
